Trasladar “Internet Rural” que está en el Ayuntamiento al Bar Bello Rincón. Ahí tenemos 3 Mb que nadie utiliza por varios motivos. El primero es que hay que pedir la llave, solo podemos hacerlo en horario de oficina o tocándole las narices a Alfredo Guardiola. El segundo es que el espacio es muy desangelado y poco controlable a los destrozos. Si lo ponemos en el Bar, vas allí con tu portátil, te miras lo que quieres, te bajas el correo, los periódicos, tus RSS y a casita a leerlos, mientras te has tomado una cerveza. Servicio completo: Carmen hace negocio y todos tenemos un servicio fácil y tranquilo sin tener que pasar el frío o calores en la llotja del Ayuntamiento o tocándole las pirindolas al consistorio. Los ordenadores que hay allí, allí se pueden quedar, son antiguas, capadas y no valen un pimiento. Si conviene, se puede subvencionar la compra de portátiles, ya sea a través del Ayuntamiento o de la Asociación Cultural.

El rendimiento es una medida de bits por tiempo. 22Mbps significa que en un segundo dado pueden ser enviados hasta 22 megabits desde un extremo del enlace al otro. Si los usuarios intentan enviar más de 22 megabits a través del enlace, va a demorar más de un segundo. Si los datos no pueden ser enviados inmediatamente, son puestos en una cola de espera, y transmitidos tan pronto como sea posible. Esta cola de datos incrementa el tiempo que se necesita para que los bits puestos en la cola más recientemente atraviesen el enlace. El tiempo que le toma a los datos atravesar el enlace es denominado latencia, y una latencia muy grande es denominada comúnmente demora (lag). El enlace va a enviar todo el tráfico en espera, pero sus clientes seguramente se quejen al incrementar la demora. 
¿Cuánto rendimiento van a necesitar sus usuarios realmente? Esto depende de cuántos usuarios existen y de cómo usan su enlace inalámbrico. Las

Ya que es poco probable que todos los usuarios utilicen la conexión precisamente al mismo momento, una práctica normal es la de sobresuscribir el rendimiento disponible por algún factor (esto es, permitir más usuarios de los que el máximo de ancho de banda disponible puede soportar). La sobresuscripción en un factor que va desde 2 a 5 es bastante normal. 

Las descargas son un problema en una red como esta. Si alguien se pone a bajar cosas de la mula consigue que la red se vuelva lentísima para los demás usuarios, creando serios conflictos. Lo mejor y mas equitativo es impedir directamente el acceso a las descargas, ya sean vía emule i/o torrent. Es mas difícil con las descargas directas o youtube. Ahí tenemos que confiar siempre en la buena voluntad de todas las personas que se conectan a la red. 

Hay opciones por si alguien quiere determinada película de colección, música antigua, o cualquier otra cosa que necesite descargar gran cantidad de datos. Una es la wifi del Ayuntamiento que "creo", no está sujeta a límites de descarga. Otra opción es que los que viven en se bajen el material en sus casas de Alcañiz, Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza ... con buena conexión y lo pongan en el servidor de la red para compartirlo con todo el mundo.

Básicamente se trata de una antena de [[suficiente ganancia|Potencia antenas]] y un router con capacidad wifi que transforma la señal de radio recibida por la antena en señal eléctrica entendible por el ordenador, y viceversa. En el mercado existen aparatos que integran las dos cosas, y uno de estos es el que vamos a usar. Se denomina Nanostation Loco 2, fabricado por Ubiquiti y ofrece una conexión para cable de red y una antena direccional integrada de 8 dBi, integrado en una carcasa de pequeño tamaño para exteriores. En el sector estos dispositivos se denominan CPE (del inglés para Equipo Local del Cliente).

Se colocará orientado hacia una de las antenas "repetidoras", bien junto a una ventana o preferentemente en el mismo mástil que la antena de TV.

Este dispositivo además tiene la ventaja de que la corriente eléctrica que necesita la toma del mismo cable de red que usamos para los datos, con lo que solo hay que subir un cable al tejado.

Lo hacemos a través de [[una antena|http://www.comprawifi.com/equipos-pro/ubiquiti/nanostation-loco-100mw-2-4ghz-antena-8dbi-doble-polarizacion/prod_2126.html]] que ya lleva incorporados radio y router, con un tamaño de 16x8x3, que podemos colgar en el mástil de la antena de televisión y casi no se ve. De ella sale un clable ethernet que conectamos al ordenador o a un AP wifi para una red dentro de casa si así lo queremos. La configuración es "fácil".

Como es una red en la que hay que "repartir" ancho de banda entre todos los socios, hay que poner ciertas limitaciones para acceder a Internet. Conseguimos así que la red funcione mejor.

Unos 4 o 5 € mensuales por nodo. A eso hay que sumar el precio de la antena y una derrama por los repetidores y nodos colectivos, que puede suponer unos 100 € en un solo pago.

//En Bellmunt es un hecho evidente la ausencia de cobertura de banda ancha de conexión a internet (sólo hay algunas zonas WiFi de velocidad deficiente). Por desgracia esta situación es muy común en amplias zonas rurales de toda España.

He intentado informarme a través de las distintas operadoras, sobre el plan de despliegue de la banda ancha por el territorio del Bajo Aragón y no he obtenido ningún resultado. Por otra parte otras alternativas como el ADSL rural, ADSL via satélite......... resultan o inviables o carísimas.

¿Alguien en y para su casa en Bellmunt ha conseguido resolver este problema? ¿Cómo?

Si no es así, ¿Conoceis a que organismo estatal, autonómico, comarcal o local hay que dirigirse para obtener información?

Después de lo expuesto, sólo decir que lo/as que desde el propio Bellmunt están accediendo a este foro merecen toda mi admiración porque si lo hacen a la velocidad que me imagino son digno/as de un momumento.

La seguridad en una red wifi es muy importante, en caso contrario cualquiera podría recoger la señal y utilizarla para comprometernos. Para impedirlo tenemos varias opciones:

1.- Cifrado [[WPA|http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi_Protected_Access]]
Necesitaremos una clave de acceso para tener conexión. No utilizar nunca cifrado WEP, un niño puede saltarse esa proteccción. 

2.- Deshabilitar el servicio [[DHCP|http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Host_Configuration_Protocol]]
En un principio puede parecer extraño pero en una WLAN es más importante de lo que parece. Mediante este paso un intruso puede descifrar nuestra dirección IP, mascara de subred, y otros parametros TCP/IP relevantes y con los cuales podria obtener acceso a nuestra WLAN. Claro está que si el atacante ha conseguido acceder ya a la red, obtener las direcciones IP de trabajo es tan sencillo como lanzar un Sniffer y quedar a la escucha. De cualquier modo, es posible que el atacante esté simplemente siguiendo instrucciones de un manual y sus conocimientos sean limitados en este campo. 

3.- Usar el filtrado [[MAC|http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direcci%C3%B3n_MAC]]
Aunque también es bastante fácil saltarse este método de protección, nunca sabemos quién nos puede atacar: puede ser un simple aficionado o un profesional. En caso de ser una aficionado, merece la pena ponerle las máximas dificultades posibles.

Es muy simple: Una línea con ADSL en La Torre (de una amigo, del Ayuntamiento, de Omezyma), un cable hasta la antena con una radio emisora en el tejado que tenga visión directa con Bellmunt, una antena receptora en Bellmunt, un cable de red al ordenador y ¡listo!, ya está. Son "hazlo tu mismo", con un par de clics lo tienes configurado.
